The News School (TNS) has been offering the Journalism program for 16-24 year olds for the past eight years in an eight-week summer program and a 10-12 week after-school program.

Aside from the coaching staff, The News School employs young people between the ages of 16 to 24 years old. However, we openly welcome volunteers to help assist us in other aspects of our organization.

Browse our library of youth produced media. From documentaries, and PSAs, to sports broadcasts and narrative shorts, our library is as vast as our artists' imaginations.
Our multimedia In-Depth Features combine new media and solutions-oriented journalism to examine key issues affecting our community.
Our production doesn't stop at video! Listen to our short and long-form podcasts, featuring some very special guests working to bring justice, art, and unity to our city.
We will publicly acknowledge everyone who donates at the Friend and Ally Sponsorship Levels at the event and on social media.
Those who donate at the Entertainer, Influencer, and Superstar Sponsorship Level will be publicly acknowledged and recognized at our event, on social media, and in our print and digital newspaper, the Chicago Leader.
Everyone who donates at the V.I.P. and Presidential Sponsorship Level will be publicly acknowledged at our event, on social media, in our print and digital newspaper, on our TNS website and two other digital publications owned and operated by The News School.
